I started my nonprofit Hope Inc. in 2009 when I couldn't find childcare support as a single mom in college. Back then, I had no idea how to get funding. And it was very frustrating.
In 13 years, our organization has helped over 100 parents graduate. But getting here was a journey, whew! I did all my own paperwork, researched like crazy, and got turned down from every grant I applied to. Since then, we’ve grown to a multi-six figure operating budget, and I’ve learned all the keys to getting grant-ready.
Now, I work with new nonprofit teams who want the shortcut on successful startups, so they can get busy getting results for the people who need them most.
